Who is Gerry Turner?
The silver fox looking for love on this Bachelor spinoff show is a 71-year-old retired restaurateur named Gerry Turner, ABC announced July 17.
Gerry has lived on a lakeside property in Hudson, Indiana for the last six years, but is originally from Iowa.
He married his high school sweetheart Toni in 1974. After 34 years of marriage, Toni died suddenly in 2017 from a bacterial infection. The couple shared two daughters and two granddaughters.
After briefly dipping his toes back into the dating pool over the last couple of years, Turner has decided that now might be the best time to "find a love that will stand the test of time in his golden years," according to ABC’s announcement.
